Fiber Arts Competition
The Fiber Arts Show at the Breeders Showcase will be
an opportunity to display your creative talents and
promote the wonderful versatility of alpaca.
First thru third place ribbons will be awarded and
all entries must be made from more than 50% alpaca fiber.

RULES: Fiber Arts Competitions
- All
Entries, in all classes, must consist of 50% or more
alpaca fiber.
- All
Fiber Arts items must be one-of-a kind crafted by
the Exhibitor.
- A
maximum of (1) entry per division/category/class per
Exhibitor.
- Items
must have been completed during the last year.
- No
substitutions
-
Each item must be accompanied by written description
that includes fiber content, techniques, pattern designer,
yarn used, etc. This description shall not exceed
a 3x5 card and must not include identifying information.
It will be included in the points for judging.
- Judging:
1) All items will be judged anonymously with points
given for creativity, craftsmanship, hand-feel, visual
appeal,
appropriate use of fiber and technique, effectiveness,
final
finish, etc.
2) 1st thru 3rd place ribbons will be awarded in each
division/category/class.
3) Classes may be combined if less than (3) entries
per class are received.
4) The Judge may change the category/class of an item
at his/her discretion.
- Entry
fees:
1) $10 per item of Fiber Arts Division I
2) $20 per item of Fiber Arts Division II

All items must be shipped in advance of the show to:

Any delivery company is acceptable (i.e. UPS, FEDEX,
US Postal Service) Items should be sent no later than
May 6, 2005.
- Items
must be left on display at the Breeders Showcase until
Sunday, May 22 at noon. Pickup is Sunday between 12
and 3 PM.
- Those
requiring items be returned by mail or freight must
include PRE
PAID return shipping fees and self addressed return
label. UPS is
preferred. Contact your local UPS store for prepay
instructions.
- Written
authorization is required for someone other than the
Exhibitor to pick up the item.
