This year we are pleased to offer our members a new way
to showcase and sell product made from your own animals fiber. A sales booth
will be set up at the PAOBA BREEDERS SHOWCASE in the vendor area. All PAOBA
members in good standing will be able to bring roving, yarn or finished
product made from the fiber produced on their farm and have it sold for them
at the booth. No imported or commercially produced goods will be accepted.
PAOBA will not be taking a commission on goods sold. This booth is offered
as a service to members to help promote and sell PA Preferred, PA grown
products.
To be a part of this sales booth, farms are required to do the following:
Participants must be PAOBA Farm Members with 2008 dues paid in full.
All items MUST be from PA produced fiber or a blend of PA fiber and other
fibers. You can sell roving (in 4 or 8 oz bags), yarn, knitting kits with
your yarn, sweaters, scarves, hats, etc. Products from your fiber can be
made elsewhere and still be sold in the booth.
All items presented for sale must be labeled/tagged with the farm name and
price of item.
A complete inventory list of the items and prices must be submitted to the
fiber committee PRIOR to the show to allow for building a computer database
for sales. A copy of this inventory must be submitted with the goods at the
show as well. The farm name and complete mailing address must also be
included so we will be able to mail checks.
All items must be delivered to the booth at the Breeders Showcase on Friday
May 9, 2008 with an inventory list.
All items not sold must be picked up at the booth at the Breeders Showcase
on Sunday May 11, 2008 after 3PM. Any items left at the booth become the
property of PAOBA. No items will be returned by mail, ups, etc. Arrangements
must be made for everything to be picked up at the show.
All monies collected will be tallied and calculated and a check sent to each
farm with product sold. No money will be distributed at the show.
The booth will have a full time person running the register. We are
requesting volunteers to help out in the booth at various times during the
show. A volunteer sign up list is being formulated. If you are willing to
help in the booth for a 2 hour period during the show please contact:
