2008 PAOBA Breeders Showcase Photo Contest is another great way to market
your farm! We all have those special photos of our alpacas that we hold
near and dear. So here’s your chance to show off your photography
skills, those special alpacas moments, and your wonderful alpacas. All
attendees and alpaca owners are invited to participate in the Photo
Contest (except for PAOBA photo contest committee members and photo
contest judges.) Photos will be judged on creativity, composition,
content, and artistic merit.

There are four categories:
(Please do not submit photos
with special effects in the first three categories)

Competition Rules:
Format must be at least 3" x 5" and no larger than 8
1/2" x 11". Only one photo per category per farm
permitted. All photos must contain at least one
alpaca. No photos are to be submitted that have been
previously published elsewhere. Each photo may only be
entered in one category. All photos submitted must have
been taken within the past 12 months, prior to the entry
deadline. Please send working prints, as photos will
not be returned. All entries must be mailed, no e-mail
or faxed entries accepted. Submission of photo permits
PAOBA to publish photo in PAOBA Planet newsletter and/or
website. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be
awarded in each category. A special "People's Choice
Award" will be selected from the display of the twelve
winning photos by show attendees votes. This special
ribbon will be awarded Sunday afternoon to the winning
photo. Ribbons will be displayed at the 2008 PAOBA
Breeders Showcase. Ribbons and winning photos may be
picked up from photo contest display after 3pm on
Sunday, May 11, 2008. Judge's decisions are final.
Deadline for photo contest entries is April 15, 2008.
There is a $5.00 entry fee per photo. Make checks
payable to PAOBA.
